Overview of Captains' Meeting
On Sunday evening, 21 teams (out of 31) were represented at the mid-season captains' meeting, each gaining 2 bonus points that will count towards end-of-season rankings.
The captains who were present voted on nine of the eleven proposals outlined on the website before the meeting. One proposal was not voted on for lacking specific options, but may be voted on at the next captains' meeting. One proposal was delayed until the next captains' meeting, although a mock vote was staged. Full details of the captains' meeting will shortly be available in the 'Information/Meeting Minutes' section on this website.
Of the proposals which passed, two will take effect immediately:
New rules |
1.2.5 If a team uses an alternative set of balls during the league match, then these balls must be provided to the visiting team for their practice session. The set of balls that is provided to the visiting team for practice will be the set of balls used during match play.
1.5.4 In bars where a non-standard racking device is provided (such as a Magic Rack, etc.), captains must agree prior to the first rack of the match on whether such a device may be used during the match. Without agreement from both captains, such devices cannot be used for any of the games. |

Captains' meeting
A captains' meeting will be held on Sunday, 25 March 2012, 5pm at Bless U. (This is the day after the mid-season singles tournament.)
If you have any issues or prospective rule changes you wish to discuss at the meeting, these can be added to the agenda by contacting one of the league executives by midnight on Saturday, 24 March 2012. In the interest of keeping the meeting as brief and orderly as possible, issues or potential rules changes raised after this (or at the meeting) may not be discussed.
Teams that send a representative to the meeting will earn two bonus points counting towards final standings in the season. As rules could be changed at this meeting, your participation is paramount. Sending a representative to the meeting means your team has a voice and a vote.
