Our 'Big Weekend' also featured our final tournament of the year. 50 players came out to try to win some cash and gain some individual glory at the End of Season Single's Money Tournament. The 25 players sorted into the Upper Bracket treated us to high quality thoughtful pool that included 11 special games. Close to midnight, the brilliant Jun Bongon claimed first place with a decisive and very tense victory over the talismanic Paul Riddle. In the lower bracket the competition was no less fierce as Seol Hee 'Kiwi' Jung proved that, despite being the only bird with no wings, she could still soar past her captain, Bernard 'Eagle' Condrau.
Many thanks to all those who made it a great event, especially Bernard, Ronan, Lenny and Russell.

To help with the promotion of the league we are, once again, featured in Groove magazine this month. Please check out the excellently written article by Liam Ring in print or online. There are also some excellent pictures taken by Nick Bruneau. Click this link.
And finally to help you get fully prepared for the new season we have been sent details (by Jonathan Soderholm) of a fantastic new pool hall called 'The Color of Money' in Ilsan. The club is run by Peter Cho, a professional 9-ball pool player and it has 8 Min tables that kept in excellent condition. The club does a decent burger, has San Miguel on tap and sells a range of top quality accessories and pool cues. More importantly Peter and his business partner Jean Koo offer pool lessons to help you cope with the rigours of facing the stiff competition thrown up by the IPL each week. These lessons are very reasonably priced and Peter is even willing to come to Itaewon to help out players from beginners to advanced. It's a brilliant opportunity to improve your game ahead of the regular season. Please feel free to check out the club and look it up on Facebook. With a name like 'The Color of Money' how can you go wrong.

The Final
This Sunday, December 13th, sees the climax of the IPL Summer/Fall 2015 season with the final of Championship A taking place at Shenanigans. If you head over to JJ's you'll be able to witness the battle for 3rd place. It should be a great end to the season and, as always, the very best of luck to all teams.
Wednesday night was an extraordinary one. In Championship A the tension could be felt all across Itaewon as Shenanigans Boomtown Rats defeated Scrooge Pub Wonky Triangles in a contest that had many titanic battles and included the Rats obliterating the bar's stock of Heineken. Across town an even more memorable match was taking place with underdogs Estyle downing Rising Stars in game that went all the way to the final black. The game was also noteworthy for a terrific display of sportsmanship from Paul Riddle and the Rising Stars who allowed time for Matt West to arrive and take part in the game. It just highlighted what a great group of people we have here in the league.
In Championship B the final was won by the always popular Dolce Vita Sweet Life as they extinguished the challenge of Woodstock Al Korea. The match was full of incident and had a touch of controversy but ultimately sport was the winner. Many congratulations to Jim and his team. In Bulldog, Phillie's Pheasants celebrated a fine season, and looked resplendent in their new shirts, to claim third place.
The fixtures are as follows:
Championship A:
Final: Bulldog Estyle @ Shenanigans Boomtown Rats
3rd Place Playoff: Scrooge Pub Wonky Triangles @ Bull & Barrel Rising Stars (at JJ's)
