Teams are getting the average win points of all other matches played during the season. However, if a team's average is below 8, then the team gets 8 game wins points. The latter applies to the weaker teams in the league, which will be placed in the lower bracket at the end of the season.
Example Bless-U Cueing Truants: Would your team have scheduled the next match against Orange Tree, your team's actual average would be 7.6 and the website would show 8 game wins. If, at the end of the season, your team's average will be 9.6, then the website will show 10 game wins.

I believe this solution comes closest to neutralize the dropped out team, which should not be preferential for the teams which are scheduled to play Orange Tree, nor to those which are not scheduled to play them. Note that this will be confirmed at the captains meeting September 25, as noted in the rules (par. 1.1.16).
We had a similar conversation a year ago, when Polly's Lounge Rangers dropped out of the league after 5 matches, and resolved it the same way.
